The Holy Name Of Jesus.

I have just finished reading “The Wonders of The Holy Name” by Fr. Paul O’Sullivan O. P. for the second time. It is only 50 pages long however is filled with wonderful practices to honor Jesus’s holy name. One of these practices was to carry a card containing the holy name of Jesus or to keep a card with “Jesus” written on it under one’s pillow. This devotion of keeping cards with the Holy Name on them to give honor to Jesus has been around since the early Christians. Furthermore this practice has been commended and kept by many of the saints, such as Saint Martin of Tours.

Carrying a card daily can wear it down. Therefore, here are few ways to keep one’s card in pristine condition. One could keep his/her card inside his/her wallet, under his/her mattress, or one could laminate one’s own card to keep it protected.
